Wake Forest University is pleased to partner with KinderCare Learning Companies for Employers to provide a premier, third-party operated child care and early education center right on campus at the University Corporate Center. The center is open with enrollment available for:
- Wake Forest faculty, staff, and students
- Affiliate employees working full time at a WFU property
- Families of the greater Winston-Salem community

Enrollment and Tuition
KinderCare at Wake Forest University uses a tiered tuition structure based on your professional affiliation. To support the University community, the center offers specific rate categories for both internal and external families:
- WFU Affiliate Rates: Discounted tuition for Wake Forest faculty, staff, and students, as well as full-time affiliate employees working on-site. Priority for available spots is given to WFU-affiliated families.
- Community Rates: Standard tuition for families from the greater Winston-Salem area, subject to current availability.

The total capacity is 120 children, ages 6 weeks through 5 years old.
KinderCare has the most nationally-accredited early learning centers of any private provider in the country and is dedicated to achieving 100 percent accreditation. On March 20, 2025, the center achieved NC 5-Star quality-rated license and will apply for accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) once eligible.
An NC 5-Star rating is achieved by earning points for meeting high-quality program and education standards.
NAEYC accreditation promotes “a shared understanding and commitment to quality” among educators and “helps families recognize quality early learning programs and feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving a high-quality, research-based education.” Programs must meet standards in: relationships with children, curriculum, teaching approaches, child assessment, nutrition and health, staff qualifications, relationship with children’s families, relationship with the community, physical environment, and program leadership and management.
In addition to daily in-person conversations that teachers and families share, families receive updates and photos of their child on the KinderCare App. The app includes a messaging feature so families can send a note directly to their child’s teacher or to the center management team.

Yes; $150 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment to secure a spot on the waitlist.
Yes; if two or more children are enrolled, the family will receive 10 percent off the lowest tuition of one child.
Two snacks are provided. Families will send lunch with their child.
